Actually I think that this is something that you should discuss with your wife. OR join a parenting group and discuss it with them. All in all, both parents are equally important in raising a child.

Both parents work with two or more children? NoHome school kids? Yesto avoid child care cost? YesReasons areChildren today are suffering immensely due to both parents working. The care that they receive outside the home is not the sam nurturing that a parent will give. When homeschooling a child this is a touchy subject. There's a lot of parents who do not have the knowledge or desire or patience to home school. Yet the solution to that would be to hire a private teacher to come in. Most parents don't realize that the Abeka Program and the Tom Jones program is really easy for a parent to follow. A parent has to be committed to homeschooling or yet again the child will fall thru the system. Schools today are not safe for our children, to not have the morals, values and standards in teaching as in yesteryear. As far as parents working opposite shifts to avoid childcare cost, most parents cannot accommodate that type of schedule, but if possible I would recommend it. Again, this has to do with the welfare of their child not being in an outsiders hands. I have been a homemaker all of these years, and substituted all of the years that my children were in school so that I could make money yet have the same schedule they had.
