3.8 billion± years and I believe recently a zircon within a rock from Australia was dated to 4.22(?) billion which is right after the time the moon may have formed. I think the learning point is that normally rocks get recycled in some way or another so other than meteorites we do not have a good look back into early earth. But that leaves the probability that some rocks don't get recycled for very long time spans, if ever! The two possible answers areA earlier rocks have been converted to sediment B rocks before then have been subducted.I lean towards A.There are very old rocks on continental cratons that haven't been subducted but they haven't been converted to sediments either. Oceanic crust maximum life span is around 250± million as that is the cycle of continental collision.

Don't rely too much on science. They are mostlytheoretical full of imagination. No one really knows the exact age of the earth exceptGod who created all things. But based on historical facts, man started roaming theearth only some 10,000 years ago. And when were you born?Colossians 1:17 The Word of The Lord - The Holy Bible17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together
