What is the best baby wearing position for doing housework? My6 little girl is 3 months old, i just made a wrap that is about 4 yards long. please provide instructions or a link to instructions. Also did any moms start using a wrap when their baby was 3 months? how did they take to it? did they have a hard time getting used to it?When shes awake and wont just lay in her bassinet and gets bored for her bouncer after a couple minutes. I want to have her on me while im doing housework or outside work

Why not just keep her in her bassinett? Or swing? Why would you carry her around the house?

she has to learn at an early age that although you are there she doesnt need to be picked up all the time! they learn fast at this age and if you have a partner then leave housework till he gets in and give the baby to him or do it around nap time

As someone else said ignore them who said put the baby in the crib while you do housework. My daughter is almost 2 months old and I've been wearing her since she was two weeks old (when she got out of the NICU) and she loves it. As for the yardage you should use, it depends on how big/tall a person you are. Generally 4-5 yrs works well.A good way to see how to put your child in the wrap is if they can hold their head up. If so, try facing outwards on your chest so they can see things around them. If not, do it kangaroo care style. Just type "babywearing" in google, or even youtube and you can find LOTS of info on babywearing. Also baby carriers like bjorn and infantino aren't that great and neither are the peanut shell type carriers. If you want a decent wrap look around online or actually you can go to some place like walmart and pick up say.. 5-6 yrds of fabric and use that as well. I bought my wrap online however, at it cost $76. But it was so worth it. My daughter loves it - and it's so much easier than lugging around a stroller when we're out shopping or anything. Plus babywearing is good for children - it has many benefits. (Basically mei teis, slings, and wraps are all nice - it really depends on which you're comfortable with. I love babywearing and am very comfortable with the way I wear my daughter. (In fact I'm wearing her right now, because she started crying and wanted to be held.)Here is a picture of my daughter in her wrap, from two days ago. http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...herwrap.jpgAnd yep she's sleeping. She loves it.

I know everyone is telling you to leave her in bassinet or crib or chair or swing... but if she's anything like my baby boy (almost 3 months old) she wants to be held when tired until she sleeps for her nap. I have a Snugli by Evenflo:http://www.evenflo.com/Homepage/Prod...37105d7f03ecin which I put him, holding him in front of me. It's pretty secure, I can bend, clean with the swiffer, put the dishes away, make me a sandwich or salad... but I try not to cook with him in it because I am scared some hot juices might get sprayed on him. One thing that is doable but hard, is folding laundry. Patience is the key.The way he swings as I do my work makes him even more drowsy, and gets him to fall asleep faster. He shoves his little face under my neck for warmth and darkness. 5 to 15 minutes after, I slowly take him out and lay him in his crib, ASLEEP! yey!The wrap I haven't tried yet. I've been told it's good for when you hold her for a long period, because you have a lot of wrapping to do. It makes me wonder how hard it might be to put her down once sleeping, where the Snugli clips off gently and quickly. I hope I helped!
