I remember when I was like 8 or 9 my cheap aunt use to take me and my cousins (around the same age) to McDonald's (this was considered a "special event") for a "meal".Being so generous as she was treating us to food she gave us a choice between a cheese burger and a hamburger. When I said 'a' I meant ONE. She would buy one and cut it into pieces and divided amongst us. If there were 5 or 6 of us she would buy 2. These were both under 50cents at the time.....It's not even like she was poor or on a budget. No one in my family is as cheap as her.

when my family and i lived in an apt complex while our house was selling (5 states away) all of our furniture was in storage and we didn't have much furnitureso when we found a reclining vinyl chair by the dumpster we snatched it up - we eventually duck taped the footrest part and we had to put our legs on either side of it so our legs wouldn't stick.at the moment i have a bedside table that is just a box. (i'm a college student)also we would drive around with a 24 pack of soda and when we wanted a drink we would pull into a gas station or restaurant and get just a cup of ice.
