Default Yarning over in crochet Can someone help?

Okay, I have another question and it may sound silly but it's driving me nuts. When you yarn over for your stitches it says to do it from back to front. What happens if you yarn over front to back? I am asking because sometimes it doesn't feel natural for my fingers to do the back to front all the time. When I have done the YO from front to back the stitch looks fine. Does it matter how it's done or does it mess up the stitch?

Hi there - usually when the yarn is wrapped over the hook from back to front, it is then followed by inserting the hook into the next stitch, etc - so there is one loop over the hook beforehand. If you try to wrap yarn from front to back, then insert the hook into next stitch, etc I'm not so sure that you will achieve the same affect. In the end, it's whatever works for you, like some people hold their hook differently to others ...
