Default How does one cook successful Indian rice on electric stove?

Can cook great Indian biriyani on gas stove but can't duplicate results on electric stove. Any advice?

The reason you can't get the same results on an electric stove as you get on a gas stove is that you cannot get as low a temperature on an electric stove and still have it on.You might try elevating your pot above the burner using something that is heat proof. Perhaps a couple of bricks. It might look funny, but it might just work. Don't put the bricks directly on the burner, put them on the sides and have the pot straddle the burner. You might need to add some support for the pot, like a wire shelf.
