| Being a girl with all the insecurities that brings, and having had several friends who countered their low self esteem in unhealthy ways (ie.. sleeping around) I've begun researching ways to improve self esteem, but I am not finding too much on the net. Anyone have any tips, website or book recommendations?

| having good posture really really helps just something about it makes you feel better about yourself when you stand up straight. focus on good things and not the bad, when you start to think something bad just block it out. and just learn to love yourself this is the only body you get so learn to love it. take care of yourself, do your hair and makeup and wear clothes that look good on you

| If you find something that works, let me know. No JK. I have the same problems. Sometimes I feel pretty good about myself, but then I hate myself the rest of the time. I will say that the sleeping around will not help you. It only makes you feel worse. So I would definetly try to kick that habit. I guess you would reaaly have to look deep and be as honest with yourself as you can to even setermine what makes you insecure, what is making your self esteem low. (For me its my weight.) And once you figure out what your real issue with yourself really is, work on that. Once you start seeing improvement, you will start to feel better about yourself.
