Default Weight loss from stopping birth control?

I I have taken Yaz for 3 years. I have a lot of trouble losing weight and gaining lean muscle mass. I currently weigh 123lbs, when I started birth control I weighed 114lbs. I gained those pounds when I started Yaz and haven't been able to lose them. My doctor told me if I stopped taking Yaz I would lose between 5-10lbs. There is no reason for me to be on birth control at this time, and I always use condoms when I am sexually active. Has anyone experienced weight loss after stopping birth control, and if so, how much? Thank you!

Out of curiosity, how tall are you? I want to make sure I'm not answering one of those girls who's 5'6" and convinced that 120 lbs is fat.I didn't lose weight when I went off birth control, but I know that it works for some people, and I didn't have a lot of weight gain when I went on it, either. If that's what you're going for, can't hurt to try, or to experiment with different birth control pills. Also, using condoms isn't enough. If you really care about not getting pregnant, please use two forms of birth control at all times. Condoms break frequently, sometimes without your knowledge.
