my OB said baths were fine but to make sure that your bathtub is clean. I have taken a few baths (my son is 4 weeks) and I have had no problems.

Sure, I did within a week, even after a C-section. If up to you how confident you feel. I didn't feel clean without a bath. A little alcohol in the water may be soothing too.

I had c-sections and was told I could take sit down baths, no problem. Just make sure the incision is dry.

The first chance I got I took a bath! Wow you really need it after being pregnant and in labor and those first few days of taking care of your little one....BUT - I asked the doctor about it later and she said that baths are not a good thing right now, especially if you have stitches. Baths are not as clean as showers, and also I was told that it would be bad for the stitches to be soaking in water.Who knows, maybe the stitches are even gone by then? I know *I* was afraid to look!! lol..Maybe you should just check with your doctor first since I've seen so much conflicting information in your answers here.
