umm im 17 and iv been taking them for like 1 or 2 years and havent had any problems with it...i take it cuz i have bad cramps and acne and its helped alot with it and i only get 3 day periods nowsome of those symptoms i already had before taking yaz tho like my depression and anxiety and migranes so i guess i wouldnt know if it makes it any worse or not since i had it be4 i took it lol

I don't have any personal experience on Yaz, but my good friend's roommate in college is on Yaz after switching from Alesse, and apparently she loves it. She felt horrible while taking Alesse and also had a bad reaction to the morning after pill/plan b. I was also very apprehensive before taking birth control, but I started this past Wednesday and have so far experienced very few side effects. I also went online and read all the horror stories about acne, weight gain, hair loss, psychotic breakdowns, loss of sex drive, etc.... And I was terrified before taking the pill, but the thing you have to remember is that each pill affects each woman differently, and that people won't have much motivation to go online and review/talk about their experiences on the pills unless it was a particularly bad experience. I'm sure there are tons of women out there who've been fine on the pill but never felt the need to express it online. As for me, I've only had some barely noticeable headaches (which might just be due to my bad sleep schedule, which is entirely my own fault) and light bloating. I'd also like to note that my sex drive is the same, if not higher.

I know you probably don't want my response because I wasn't taking Yaz, but I have taken another birth control for years - ortho cycleen. I gained weight while on the pill, got nausus at the same time each month, has trouble getting out of bed, felt anti-social, and believe it or not, but it made my life a nightmare with my current boyfriend. I would cry for no reason at night before bed and he thought I was seriously crazy.
