Hi,I admit I am very picky, (may have to change this). Anyway, I am expecting a boy and only have a couple of ideas for naming our son, (Andre or Armando). What do you think of these names? Our last name is Parkes. I also have two girls. My oldest daughters name starts with S, and our youngest - J, (I would prefer that they have their own initials). My name starts with a P- (which wouldn't work well with Parks due to the initials . My Husband's name starts with D. I like unusual names- but traditional are okay, too. I would love to name our son Jack, (but the initial is j). I would also like Orlando- (can you tell I like the Pirates of the Caribbean?). Only thing is, Orlando Parkes sounds like a division of Disney parks. I also want a name that will grow with his age. (I like Baxter- but the name won't sound as great when he is 60.) I like something that has a cute nickname for when he is young- but sounds masculine and intelligent when he is older. thank you all for the help .

I think you have a thing for hispanic men. All the names you mentioned will make everyone think your son is hispanic.Andre - wasn't that a wrestler?Armando - you are kidding!Orlando - city in Florida and he's actually the guy who owns a landscape business in my area.

Why not Andrew, and you can shorten it to Andre or Andy. When he gets older he at least has a choice if he wants to sound more mature.

Andre Parks sounds great. It's a strong name but not too old-fashioned. I also love how you're giving the kids their own initials - I never understood the point of all the kids names having to start with the same letter!
