Default Name for baby boy both country and city?

My son is due in July and I have yet to find a name! My boyfriend and I disagree on every name either one of us picks. He wants him to have a cool unique name- even if it means making something up like "Kwamarion." Personally, I want him to have a unique, but eloquent name, that people don't have to ask him how to spell. I like the name Avery , but he hates it as much as I hate Kwamarion. His name is Kwam and mine is Brandi- any suggestions on a combo or even a version of the name Aeris (but not Aeries)....Aeris is a name we both like.

Keep pushing for a name that is eloquent. Remind him that being unique doesn't necessarily mean making up a whole new name — a name can be unique because of its heritage, meaning to you, namesake, etc. Maybe he would be more open to your name if you allow him to come up with the middle name, or if you can find something that lends itself to a nickname that he will like. Honestly, Kwamarion is a mouthful, hard to spell, and it sounds like a girl's name. I quite like Avery, and you could always try some variants of Aeris, such as Aerin, Aedin/Aiden, Aelius, Aelwyn, or Aeson (which I like a lot). If he's really intent on having his name in there somewhere, make it the middle name. That way, in future, you won't get your Kwams mixed up. Hope this helps!

Kwamarion . . . I can't believe that's serious. I like Avery better than Aeris.

I also came up with Kwandi by putting both of your names together before I read it in one of the above answers. Your boyfriend's name sounds African but google came up with Kwame of Ghanaian origin. I always liked short strong African names like Ade, for example. But I would suggest to keep looking until you both agree on a name.
