I got engaged a few months ago and we're planning a wedding for next year. Now I think I may be preggers. I don't want to be a pregnant bride and we don't have a problem "putting the cart before the horse" so to speak, so we're going to continue with a wedding next year as planned. One of my concerns with not being married before the baby is born is the birth certificate, I will be changing my last name once we are married and will definitely be giving our baby my future husband's last name, but in the long run I'd like all the names on the birth certificate to match. Can I change my last name on the certificate once we get hitched? If not we may have a hush hush Justice of the Peace wedding before hand.
