Rachel is wrong. If the little fellow can eat and digest normal food he is ready to be taken away from his mom. Normally they are weened when they are about 6 weeks old. Buy him a small aquarium and ask the people at the pet store what kind of bedding and food they recommend. In the mean time, feed him mushed banana's and scrambled eggs. He will need a wheel and a water dispenser and a food dish. Keep the cage in a room that has a door so you can keep the door shut and the dog away from the mouse. Put the mouse cage on a table not on the floor. Remember- mice are very social animals and you should play with him once or twice a day. Change his cage once a week or more.Hope this helps!
