Go to, or try to call, your local Social Services office. You can get medicaid for your care. Don't put it off - prenatal care is very important!

It is very important for you to have prenatal care and be under a doctors supervision during pregnancy, and have prescriptions for your prenatal vitamins and so on. Go down to your local Department of Human Services (DHS) office and fill out the paperwork to see if you qualify for Medicaid. Take all proof of income, your current living situation information, and they will require a doctors statement that you are pregnant and your expected due date. Expect to possibly be there for a few hours ate least, but it will be worth it for you. Also, call your local health departments WIC program and make an appointment. You can get free milk, eggs, peanut butter, cereal, etc. After the baby is born they can provide you with formula if you bottle feed, and a breast pump if you choose to breastfeed. There is help out there, you just have to get it. Good Luck!

There are many different government assistance programs (such as Medicaid and various county programs) that will help you with the costs associated with your pregnancy (especially if you have low income). Here is some more information on the cost of pregnancy and maternity health insurance coverage:
