| I don't think you need full-blown day care for 2-3+ days a week at four months. At a year or older, I think she'll benefit from interaction with other children at a day care.It IS a good idea to get her used to being left with people besides you or your MIL. Alternate babysitters (aunts, uncles, a neighbor) once in a while are a good idea.

| My child will not be going to a day care, probably ever. haha. too many bad things and bad people in this world to trust anyone with my 5 month old. I know a day care provider that is terrible, she just sticks the kids in front of the tv all day gives them chips and stuff and then 15 min. before then parents get there she gets out play doh or takes them outside so they have so much fun right before their parents get there that is what they talk about. Yeah glad people pay 175 a week for her to watch their kids huh. My daughter has a cousin her age and a few of my close friends had babies at the same time so she interacts with them. I don't think it is necessary at such a young age, she doesn't really pay them much attention, she looks at them and then goes on to something else. I do def. think it is important to have your older children interact with other children. Good luck whatever you choose.

| I don't think its necissary. My 1 year old has never been to daycare but I do have 3 older children in the house. I still think he is still too young. A 4 month old doesn't really care who is around. I would wait til he is about 8 months if its a concern to you.

| my son's never been and he's fine. as expensive as daycare is i'd sarcastically ask those people if they were planning on paying for daycare for me. i've told my mother-in-law that about putting my son in preschool. but it's your choice. i wouldn't unless i had to.

| that's too young to leave it with others, the child needs to bond with the parents then later in life it can get to know others, like 2 years old.what if your child took it's first step? you would miss such a wonderfulthing to see & a terrible thing to miss it. they teke their first step only once.
