Default Our church wants my son to play baby Jesus in the live Nativity scene but I'm...

...concerned for my son's health? Every year it is an honor to have the church choose your baby as the baby Jesus for the live Nativity scene. This year, with the help of Yahoo Answers and all their prayers and baby dust, I too gave birth to my own miracle. Our church chose my miracle to represent Jesus in the manager, yet I can't help but feel worried that our harsh winter weather will cause my lil' miracle child to get ill. Should I allow my child to shine in the lime light as Jesus, or should I follow my heart and keep him at home in our warm home? I've prayed on this and am still not sure what tot do. I must decide by 6pm tonight. What should I do? Should lil' baby Noah become baby Jesus or not?*manger, not manager.

Let him do it! Bundle him snug! It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and an honor, and think of all the cute pics you'll get, really, he'll be fine!

That is a very personal decision. Our church doesn't do any outside nativity things but has a production inside.Anyways personally I being the over protective mother i am already (and she isn't even born yet) would not have my little baby out in the cold like that. I mean search your heart. Do what you feel is best and trust your instincts. If your instincts say its best for him to stay home than follow that.If your instincts feel its okay for him to do this, let him. But you know he is going to have plenty of more opportunities to shine throughout his life. So do what your maternal instincts feel is best for your son.Me with the weather we have had, with the flu as bad as its been, I probably would decline to have my child do that. I mean I don't think God is going to be upset for you looking out for the well being of your son, if that is what you are worried about.

Ask if your son can wear an elf costume and portray Santa's littlest helper instead. Just make sure to hand out candy canes to all who come and see the show so the true reason for the season (free stuff) is included.
