| Yes they do, and this is a very important fase in there lives. Most animals go into this fase at around 7-9 months old. The same time alot of people want to part with there animals because of bad behaiver (so sad, if only they knew why the animal was behaving so bad)In this fase, that could take a few weeks or maybe a few months. You should be ekstra careful around the animal, he might do strange things (just like teenagers might do) do not try and teach him to much in this fase (he will not respond to well in this fase) It is the time before (the first months) that is important he learns most before this fase and after this fase (teenage fase) he will again be the loving animal you once knew... And he will respond well to learning new things again. So patiance is the keyword here! When the animal hits the teenage fase!

| Yes, as one poster said animals reach a stage called sexual maturity as humans do.Females especially change more during puberty - including hormonal changes etc. After puberty animals are physically capable of reproducing. With many species, there is also a marked change in behaviour at, or after, puberty. In many species, males will become more aggerssive towards other males etc. Solitary species, eg syrian hamsters, will start to fight etc. With dogs, puberty often causes them to start testing the boundaries and being more naughty - just like teenagers (lol!)
