That's fine Spinthia, but it only leaves the door open for more discrimination. People feel that if they allow gay people to be 'married' that they are approving our 'lifestyle'. (it's not a lifestyle just a life but hey I'm just using common terms)Religion, should have no effect on the government... But it does... They feel we 'devalue' their own marriages, by perverting it.I don't care though, I need no piece of paper, no official status, when I find that one person I wanna be with, be it man or a woman, I want the same label stamped to it.Can you imagine if they passed it so that people from different ethnic groups had to marry under a different title?Mixed Ethnic Union? Can't you see how insulting, how degrading it is, to be tossed a bone like this?P.S. to person above.Thing is, the government shouldn't enforce RELIGION. If the religious groups don't want to perform the 'ceremony' that's within their rights, but to deny us rights as PEOPLE is more than wrong, it's criminal...
